The Reinforced Perimeter Strip (RPS) also referred to as Reinforced Universal Secure Strip (RUSS) is a 152mm reinforced strip of EPDM. The strip secures upstand details.

At Rubber Flat Roof, the 6" (152mm) Reinforced Perimeter Strip is available by  Linear Metre (LM) or in a 30.48m roll.

Key Features:

• Like most single-ply membranes, EPDM membranes will shrink a little over time. By mechanically fixing a Reinforced Perimeter strip at all upstands, it is possible to reduce the opportunity for the EPDM membrane to pull away from the upstand detail. This will keep the EPDM secure.

How does it work?

• The Reinforced Perimeter Strip has a bonding tape/seam tape pre-applied along one edge.
• This bonding edge is chemically welded to the underside of the EPDM using the Seam Tape Primer.
• This ensures that the EPDM membrane does not require puncturing during installation. The 6" Reinforced Perimeter Strip may be fixed using fastening plates. Alternatively, a Termination Bar with the appropriate fasteners for the substrate you are fixing to, may be used.
