Down Pipe Adapter for Parapet Drain

This pre-formed unit allows water to drain off a flat roof through a parapet wall and connects the square/ rectangular parapet outlet with a circular downpipe.

Fitting a parapet drain unit:

1. Ensure the hole has been left in your parapet wall to allow the spigot of the drain unit to be pushed through.
2. Install rubber to the roof and up the parapet wall.
3. Cut out a hole in the rubber to allow access for the outlet.
4. Add a bead of Water Cut Off Mastic to the back of the drain unit flange and then push through the parapet hole.
5. Use fixing plates to hold the drain unit in place
6. Prime the front of the drainage unit and a minimum of 50mm onto the rubber
7. Apply flashing tape over the drain unit and onto the rubber to create a watertight finish
8. Cut out a drainage hole in flashing tape
