Vertical Drain Outlet

1) Install the RubberCover EPDM membrane and cut a circular hole around the outlet. The hole should have a slightly smaller (approx. 10 mm) diameter than the down-pipe. 

2) Apply primer on the bottom of the flange and on the RubberCover EPDM membrane where the flange will be positioned.

3)  Position the EPDM insert piece into the hole. Apply primer on the top and around the flange for a minimum of 75 mm. Non-EPDM flanges require mechanical fastening every 100 mm. 

4) Prepare a piece of Flashing tape with rounded corners. The piece must be at least 50 mm larger than the flange in all directions. 

5) Remove the protective backing and cover the flange, making sure it overlaps its edges by at least 50 mm the whole way round. Cut a hole in the Flashing tape that is at least 10 mm greater in diameter than the down-pipe. 

6) Roll the Flashing tape using a 50 mm wide silicone. roller.
