Inspection Checklist

General:

• Make sure there are no leaks
• Inspect and repair done by other trades
• Make sure all debris, fasteners, etc have been removed from the roof
• Clean up spilled adhesive, primer or sealant by scrubbing with soapy water or membrane cleaner
• Make sure that the roof is temporarily closed prior to leaving the site.

Membrane Installation:

• Appropriate fasteners and plates were used for insulation attachment
• Correct fastening of the substrate
• No gaps in insulation greater than 5mm
• No wrinkles in the membrane

Joining EPDM with Cover Tape:

• No wrinkles in the joint
• Distance between the edges of the two panels is less than 10mm
• Primer is correctly applied
• Overlap between Cover Tape is between 5mm and 25mm

Flashing Upstands:

• No bridging at angle change
• RubberCover EPDM membrane is correctly adhered
• Minimum 50mm overlap of the EPDM strip onto field membrane

Corners:

Internal Corners:

• Pig-ear is closed properly
• No bridging

External Corners:

• Corners are not popped open
• There are no fish-mouths
• There is no bridging of the Corner flashing in the angle change
• Corner flashing is not overstretched, punctured or cut

Pipe Boots:

• Boot is cut to correct size for the pipe
• Cover Tape is placed on top of Pipe flashing
• Clamping ring is straight and firmly closed
• High-grade sealant extends past upper edge of Pipe boot
